How to choose a watering can
Watering can is one of those basic garden tools that every gardener needs. Some gardeners even have several, each with a different purpose. Here is what to look for when purchasing a watering can.
STEP 1: Select a watering can that has a long nozzle. When full of water, watering cans are very heavy, and long spouts allow you pour water over a greater portion of your garden.
STEP 2: Choose a watering can that has a removable rose (the perforated attachment that delivers the water) so that you can either use the gentle rain of the rose for small seedlings or deliver a lot of water by using the spout without the rose attachment.
STEP 3: Consider the can's material. Plastic cans are lighter in weight and last a long time. Metal cans look nice, last a long time but are very heavy.
STEP 4: Buy a smaller can for indoor plants . Narrow spouts allow you to deliver water exactly where you want it - on the soil, not the furniture.
